Faculty & Staff

The key to the academic excellence of all divisions of The North Broward Preparatory Schools and the love and supportive atmosphere it represents is found in our faculty and staff. These dedicated professionals exemplify the very best of the educational profession and provide a caring and involved approach to helping each student achieve his or her personal best.

The relationship between a teacher and student is the most important element in the learning process, and we take that relationship very seriously. The job of nurturing communication and understanding between students and instructors, especially during the middle and high school years when children take on more and more responsibility for presenting themselves to the world, is one we work at every day, with every student.

The faculty and staff at the Upper School is an extraordinarily diverse group. We vary in age, background and interests, but all share a profound commitment to independent education in general, and to this school's mission in particular. We recognize that a child's attendance at any school represents an investment of trust and we look forward to a chance to earn it, and make it grow.

The faculty includes veterans of our school who have had extensive middle and high school experience as well as quality educators from other fine independent schools locally and around the nation. These professionals are carefully selected for their experience as well as their commitment to NBPS's mission and philosophy. Just as in the Lower School, the Upper School faculty offers a long-term commitment to our school and its students.

The faculty at the Lower School is comprised of more than 50 professional teachers, administrators, instructors and assistants. Of the professional staff, over 50% of the full-time instructional staff have earned advanced degrees, and all who work with students in the Lighthouse Point Academy program have specialized degrees in the learning disability and related areas.

Our faculty's experience ranges from first-year teachers to teachers that have been with us for more than 30 years.

We are also proud to highlight our faculty specialists - teachers in the areas of Foreign Languages, Music, Band, Choir, the Visual Arts, Drama and Theatre, Model United Nations, Physical Education, Computer Technology, and the Library-Media Sciences.

The North Broward Preparatory Schools are Equal Opportunity Employers.
