NBPS Laptop Program

Beginning in our 2009-2010 school year, NBPS will be switching to a "Hotel Style" wireless network similar to those used in hotels and airports. The new wireless network will provide the same great safety and security from internet threats and inappropriate content, as we have heretofore sought to provide. ALL Students grades 6 through 12 will be required to register their laptops with the Tech Center in order to gain internet access. Registration permits us to ONLY allow our students access to our network, thus eliminating the potential for cyber-intruders on our campus.

Registration MUST be received 1 week prior to the start of Success Academy to ensure that access is available. For students who are not attending Success Academy, registration MUST be received no later than one week prior to start of classes.

Note: NBPS will be using MAC Address filtering to help secure our network from outside threats, which means that only those computers whose MAC addresses are registered will be granted internet access. If your computers MAC address changes after registration due to repair or intentional user action, such as using programs like Mac-Shift, your internet will no longer work until the new Mac address is registered.

This information can submitted online HERE; however, if you have difficulties finding the MAC Address, technicians will be available in the Tech Center to assist you.
